Since 1989, we are dedicated to providing best practice occupational therapy services, which are current, innovative, and promote effective and lasting outcomes.  We work with children (birth-18 years) and their families and caregivers; collaborate with health care professionals, educators, and team members; and provide consultations, training, and workshops.

Owned and operated by Wilma Dorman, OTR/L, RDI® Certified.

Treatment

Please note we respect privacy.  The children shown in photos are actors and not in our program.

Intervention is tailored to the current needs of each child, in conjunction with goals and strategies developed from assessment results.  As a child changes, treatment is modified accordingly.

We help to guide families and school personnel in supporting the whole child; providing information and strategies, tracking changes at home and at school, and responding to feedback.

Play has the capacity to facilitate cognitive and social development, and a sense of competence in the social arena.   The National Institute for Play defines several patterns of play:

  • body play and movement

  • rough and tumble play

  • object play

  • attunement play and social play

  • celebratory play

  • imaginative and pretend play

  • storytelling and narrative play

Treatment approaches employed within the program:

Video recording is available to families for progress monitoring and parent conferences.
